What is spirit releasement?

The practice with the most alarming name and the calmest actual content. Here is exactly what it is, and — just as importantly — what it is never allowed to become.

The short version

Spirit releasement is about setting down heaviness that doesn't feel like it started with you. It is quiet, consent-based, and entirely undramatic. It is not exorcism, it is not possession work, and it is never used to tell you something dark is attached to you so that a fee can fix it.

Let's deal with the name first

You've likely arrived here with a film in your head. Put it down. Nothing about this session involves fear, theatre, restraint, or anything happening to you against your will. There is no moment where I announce that something has taken hold of you.

I've chosen to keep the traditional name because it's the honest one for what I do, rather than a softer marketing term that obscures it. But the name and the room have almost nothing in common.

The idea behind it

Over a life, we pick up more than memories. Old attachments. Emotional imprints from people and places. Loyalties that were never ours to carry — the family grief absorbed at eleven, the atmosphere of a house, the residue of someone else's anger. Spirit releasement work is a structured practice for identifying that weight and setting it down.

You can read that literally or as metaphor. I've never needed a client to choose.

Who tends to book this one

  • People carrying a heaviness that predates anything that actually happened to them
  • People who feel markedly different in some places, or around some people, than others
  • People who describe emotions arriving that don't feel like their own
  • People from families where something large went unspoken for a generation
  • People who've already done soul retrieval and felt something was still sitting on top

What a session is actually like

Slow, quiet, and at your pace. We talk first, then breathe together for several minutes — the same paced breathing that begins every session here. Then you rest comfortably while I work.

Nothing happens without your agreement. You can ask what I'm doing at any point, ask me to pause, or stop entirely — and none of that requires a reason or costs you anything in my estimation. Consent isn't a formality at the start; it runs the whole way through.

Afterwards we sit and talk it through in ordinary language. Most people describe feeling lighter, clearer, and more present in their own body. Some feel nothing. That's a normal outcome, not a failure.

What I will never do

This is the part of my practice with the most potential for harm, so the boundaries are firm and public:

  • I will never tell you you're cursed, hexed, or possessed. Not as an opener, not as an upsell, not at all.
  • I will never manufacture a frightening finding and then offer to fix it for money. That pattern is one of the oldest confidence tricks there is, and it's alive and well in this industry.
  • I will never suggest a spiritual cause for a medical or psychiatric symptom. If something you describe sounds clinical, I'll say so and send you toward someone qualified.
  • I will never create urgency about booking again.
  • I will never frame you as at fault for what you're carrying.
Hold me to all of it. If any practitioner — me included — ever makes you feel frightened into purchasing something, that fear is the product and you should leave. You are allowed to end a session, decline a recommendation, and never come back, without explaining yourself.

Who shouldn't book this

  • Anyone currently experiencing psychosis, mania, or significant dissociation. Frameworks involving external entities can be genuinely destabilising here. Please talk to your clinician first — this is the one I'm strictest about.
  • Anyone in crisis. Please use the crisis resources on the home page instead.
  • Anyone hoping to avoid a clinical answer they've already been given.
  • Anyone being sent by someone else. This has to be your decision.

If you're unsure which category you're in, say so on the free call. I'd genuinely rather turn away a booking than take one I shouldn't.

No belief required, no religion involved

There's no church here, no doctrine, and nothing to sign up to. This work is offered without judgment regardless of your background, and you're entirely welcome to hold the whole framework at arm's length. Plenty of people do, and it doesn't change the room.

I just believe in love.

Not sure if this is the right one?

That's exactly what the free call is for. Tell me what you're carrying and I'll tell you honestly which session fits — or whether neither does.
